Turning 21 – Anxiety, Traveling and Excitment

Birthdays can be very stressful, especially coming from someone who didn’t think they’d see their 16th! There can be a lot of thoughts and worries around them. ‘Other people my age have done this, this and this… why haven’t I yet?’. Oh yes, I understand the comparisons!

But here’s the thing:

Just because you haven’t done the same as your peers, doesn’t make you any less important. Life isn’t a time frame of ‘by this age you have to have done this, by another age you have to have done something else’. Life is better when it’s not rushed and instead taken at your own pace.

So yes, in less than a week, I will be turning 21. Instead of me spending all my time worrying and stressing about what I have or haven’t accomplished, I’m going to enjoy it, have a good day and eat lots of cake (and donoughts!)

For my birthday, my dad is actually taking me on a 4 day trip and I though that I’d share the excitement here with you!

Day 1 – Getting there

It is about 3-4 hours to get to where we are staying (Manchester – whoop whoop!). I loved it last time we went (and the only time we went) and have decided to go again. It’s a change which is scary; spending my birthday away from my home and also my mum who sadly is unable to join. However, it’ll be an exciting change!

Day 2 – My birthday 😛

Yes, day 2 is my birthday! We have a few things we plan to do including bowling, shopping and going on a few walks. I have signed up to many, many memberships to receive free goodies on this day (haha, love me a free goodie! Especially food related)

Day 3 – Liverpool

The day after my birthday, we are traveling to Liverpool for the day! I’ve never been before so this will be a brand new thing for me! I have created a list of places I’d love to visit, including a few shops and the cat cafe.

Day 4 – Going home

We have to be out of where we are staying by 11am so we will pack up in the morning. We will get breakfast at nibbles and probably grab lunch for the train home.

It’ll be a long few days but (hopefully) all will go well! I’m very excited, and cannot wait to go visit new places. Of course, I’ll be doing a few videos for it so make sure to check out my tiktok and instgram linked below (click on the social media icon!)

Thanks for reading! Wishing you a day of peace.
